NCAA Requirements

As easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Earn 16 NCAA-approved core course credits in the following areas: English, math, science, core elective, social science, additional electives.
  2. Complete 10 or 16 NCAA-approved core course credits, including 7 in English, math, or science before the start of your 7th semester. Once you begin your 7th semester, any course that is needed to meet the 10/7 requirement cannot be replaced or repeated.
  3. Submit your final transcript with proof of graduation to the NCAA Eligibility Center.

NCAA Eligibility Center

As a future Division I and II student-athlete, you have the responsibility of signing up with the NCAA Eligibility Center. College-bound students who want to compete at a Division I, II or III school and receive an athletic scholarship, must meet academic and/or amateurism standards set by the NCAA. Creating a profile with the NCAA Clearinghouse is the first step to this process.

ILEA is an accredited, online private school open to student-athletes in the U.S. and around the world. Student-athletes attending ILEA have the benefit of accessing their virtual courses from anywhere and at their own pace, time, and schedule.

NCAA Counseling Services

Supporting ILEA student-athletes to achieve their academic and athletic dreams is now easier than ever. Our NCAA Counseling Services will provide student-athletes with 1:1 counseling and guidance to be NCAA-eligible for Division I/II athletic scholarships.

Our ILEA NCAA Academic Support Advisors:

  • Provide in-depth transcript analysis about NCAA-approved courses.
  • Offer helpful suggestions for planning course schedules.
  • Consult student-athletes and parents on courses that align with NCAA 16 core-course requirements. This includes the 10 of 16 and 7 of 10-course completion guidelines.
  • Give grade assessments about target 16 core-course GPA and standardized test scores.
  • Assist families as they complete the NCAA Eligibility Center application(s).
  • Facilitate communication between students with the NCAA Eligibility Center, university compliance offices, and coaches (as needed).
  • Host webinars to provide information about additional NCAA resources.
